Privacy
What we collect, what we do with it, and how to get rid of it. Last updated 25 August 2026.
The short version: we do not sell, rent, trade, or give your details to sponsors. Not as a favour, and not subject to change if the right offer turns up. Sponsors get audience numbers. They never get people.
What we collect
When you register for one of our events through LinkedIn, LinkedIn passes us the details you agreed to share on the registration form — at minimum your name and email address. We ask for the least we can get away with, and we do not add optional fields to the form just because they are available.
If you email us, we have your email. If you join the LinkedIn group, LinkedIn shows us what it shows any group admin. That is the whole list.
The site you are reading sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
What we use it for
- Telling you about the event you registered for.
- Telling you about future meetings, until you tell us to stop.
- Counting how many people came, so we can plan the next one and tell a sponsor how big the room was.
Who can see it
The organizers, and nobody else. Specifically not sponsors — which is worth stating plainly, because handing an attendee list to a sponsor is a normal, openly-advertised benefit at events like ours. We looked at how our peers do it and decided not to. Raffles and giveaways here use a numbered ticket, never a form that quietly opts you into a sponsor’s mailing list.
We do not use third-party trackers or advertising pixels, and we do not upload attendee lists to advertising platforms.
Where it lives, and for how long
Attendee details are kept on infrastructure the organizers run themselves, not in a third-party marketing platform. We keep them while the group is running and you have not asked us to stop. If the group shuts down, the list is deleted rather than passed on to anyone.
Getting your data out, or deleted
Email us and ask. We will tell you what we hold on you, or delete it, and we will not make you explain why. No form, no retention offer, no three-step unsubscribe.
Recordings
We record some talks. Speakers opt in and can decline. If you attend, you may be audible in the Q&A — we will say so at the start of any night we are recording, and you can ask us to cut anything you said.
